Mondello – Palermo
Situated between Monte Pellegrino and Monte Gallo, this beach in Palermo is characterized by a sandy seabed that remains shallow for many meters. It is only 11 km from the city center, so it is easily accessible on foot or by public transport. In summer, the promenade is is filled with clubs suitable for all age groups and needs: from trendy and fashionable places for a more demanding customers to pubs and bars for the younger ones. Plemmirio Marine Protected Area – Syracuse
This protected natural area is located on the east coast of Syracuse, and consists exclusively of cliffs, and also boasts some important archeological finds. The marine and terrestrial biodiversirty that characterize the area, make the area of Plemmirio the ideal place for lovers of hiking and diving.
Scala dei Turchi – Agrigento
A large cliff overlooking the sea formed by white limestone: this is the famous Scala dei Turchi, which is located in Realmonte not far from Agrigento. The name is due to the particular shape of the cliff that resembles, in fact, a staircase. On the sides there is a beach formed by very fine sand.
Giardini Naxos – Messina
A seaside town just a few steps from Taormina, with one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Mediterranean, and a promenade full of well-equipped bathing establishments. Easy to reach from Messina and Catania, there are both sandy and rocky beaches. Among the most famous beaches are the beach of Recanati, the beach of San Giovanni and the beach of Schisò.
